Sit Up & Stretch! Chair Exercises for Everyone

Gentle exercise classes lead by fitness instructor Joanne Forbes. Everyone welcome – come and take part from your wheelchair or transfer to a static chair.

Who: Open to anyone with mobility problems. Through easy, gentle exercises in a seated position, experienced fitness teacher Jo will help you increase your suppleness, vitality and general wellbeing.

When: Saturdays, twice a month, 10.30am

Where: New Hall, SportsAble

Cost: FREE to SportsAble members

£5 for non members (subject to change)

WHAT IS IT? A non-impact exercise class for chair users

WHO CAN GO? Members (free) Non Members – bring a friend or relative! – (£5 a session)

WHAT IS IT FOR? To help people with disabilities and illnesses to keep active and supple and to gain more mobility and freedom in joints and muscles

WHAT HAPPENS? A qualified instructor, Jo Forbes, runs the class and does group exercises and gives people personal goals

WHERE DOES IT TAKE PLACE? SportsAble’s New Hall, from 10.30am, twice monthly throughout 2017

NOT A WHEELCHAIR USER? You don’t have to be! You can participate from a static chair
