Table Tennis

Who’d have thought that able bodied and disabled athletes can fiercely compete against each other in the fast-paced, frenetic world of table tennis?

At SportsAble anything is possible.

Each week scores of disabled and able bodied athletes battle it out in very competitive league matches against each other and against other local sports clubs. We play singles and doubles matches.

We have a perfectly sized hall fit for two large table tennis tables plus room for spectators – and there’s always spectators as the games are edge-of-the-seat stuff! We also have bats and balls for players to borrow until they get their own set.

SportsAble is always keen for more juniors to join the table tennis section and offers coaching opportunities for serious players and fun sessions as well. SportsAble is also proud to offer Polybat – a special needs version of table tennis that assists those with physical disabilities to achieve at this fun and addictive sport.

SportsAble is pleased to be the home of Table Tennis England’s South & South East Disability Table Tennis Squad which meets exclusively at SportsAble once a month for a full days’ intensive training. Athletes come from all over the south to access the superior coaching and facilities that are available here. Many of the athletes are on talent pathways towards national selection and several athletes are part of the GB Para Table Tennis Pathway Squads. SportsAble provides volunteers to help the sessions run smoothly
