Ascot Names Race in Honour of SportsAble
SportsAble was honoured at Ascot Races‘ August Raceday (previously known as the Shergar Cup Raceday & Concert) last weekend (August 8th) when organisers dedicated the last race to the Charity and named it – The SportsAble Handicap Stakes.
Under normal circumstances, SportsAble would have sent a team of dedicated bucket collectors to the event, but sadly due to Covid-19 Ascot Races is racing behind closed doors without any spectators.
The good news is, Ascot Races has already said SportsAble can return next year, on the same date, and continue its successful bucket collections which can raise hundreds of pounds of the charity.
Plus , by naming SportsAble in its digital Race card, alongside some information about the charity, Ascot Races have done an excellent job of raising our profile amongst their own supporters.
Partnerships like these are the life blood of SportsAble, and we are so grateful that Ascot Races continues to support us under these very difficult circumstances.
