Charity Golf Day Raises £12k for SportsAble

The year’s SportsAble Charity Golf Day, which took place at Maidenhead Golf Club on Thursday 9th May, was a huge success, raising more than £12,000 for the Charity.

Organised by the Charity’s President, John Jenkins MBE, the SportsAble Charity Golf day is one of the most prestigious fundraising events of the year. This year nearly 100 golfers took part in the competition and comprised members of the local business community; SportsAble staff and volunteers; and other keen golfers and supporters!

John Jenkins, MBE, said: “We had a fantastic day, and I would like to say a huge thank you to all of our great supporters and golfers who helped to make the day a success. Maidenhead Golf Club always do a fantastic job of supporting the golf day and looking after us. We appreciate everyone’s generosity, including those who donated raffle prizes. Finally, our incredible team of dedicated volunteers who worked together to make this event an exceptional day in the fundraising calendar.”

Congratulations to the Lolloping Lions (pictured here) representing Windsor Lions, who won the team event!
