Inclusive Thai Chai launches at SportsAble

Following our successful taster sessions, SportsAble is now introducing weekly Thai Chi sessions from September 13th on Fridays from 10:30am to 11:45am.
The Thai Chi sessions are being run by experts from Follow Steps and suitable for all abilities and disabilities.
The ancient discipline of Thai Chi is known as internal martial arts. It is an exercise that aims to strengthen, stretch, and balance the body.
Tai chi coordinates and integrates core muscles important for postural stability with upper and lower body movement.
At a more subtle level, Tai chi integrates body and mind. Body movements are coordinated with rhythmic, conscious breathing,plus multiple cognitive and emotional components. These include focused attention, heightened self–awareness, visualisation and imagery.
