Free taster sessions for new SportsAble Junior Section
Following the generous donation of £50k from the Persimmon Homes Healthy Communities National Ballot, we will be launching a new section called SportsAble Junior for children under the age of 18 with sensory and physical disabilities.
Starting on Sunday April 22nd, the sessions will be held every week at SportsAble from 2:00-4:00pm. Each session will give children and their families or carers, the opportunity to try a variety of structured sport taster sessions together, as well as some fun and games, all within a relaxed environment.
The SportsAble bar will be open for families to socialise and enjoy a few drinks and refreshments together. There will also be live sport televised on our widescreen TVs for those who prefer the supporting rather than the taking part.
“At SportsAble we aim to provide children and their siblings, parents and carers the opportunity to play sport altogether in a friendly environment where we are all committed to having fun,” explains Kerl Haslam, SportsAble CEO. “We are delighted that this funding has enabled us to launch the SportsAble Junior section and it promises to be a great time for families to hang out in the warm and friendly inclusive environment that SportsAble provides”.
If you, or someone you know, would like to come and have a taster session, please call us on 01628 627690 and ask to speak to Niall McCaffrey or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
