Fitness fanatic Stewart joined SportsAble in 2015 to increase his activity levels and boost his social circle. He plays Boccia once a week in our fun session and is often seen on the athletics track, working out.
Boccia is a sport similar to boules or petanque that has been adapted as a Paralympic sport. Stewart enjoys the team camaraderie that can be found on the Boccia court but he is also developing as a good individual player.
A budding artist, Stewart is a regular at the weekly Art Group at SportsAble creative therapies group. He particularly enjoys painting and now has a waiting list from fans.
Alongside girlfriend Gemma, Stewart attends social events such as parties and comedy nights – not just as a guest but as our resident DJ whose flair for Latin mixes makes him popular with the crowds.
Stewart is one of SportsAble’s many enthusiastic fundraisers. He recently held a fun day at David Lloyd, Maidenhead, plus he challenged himself to walk around the 400m athletics track outside of our building in Braywick Sports Ground in an amazing sponsored walk.
