Penny Wins Boccia Bronze
Congratulations to Penny Froude who played brilliantly at the recent Boccia England BE Heathcoat Cup 18/19 competition, coming home with a Bronze medal.
Her success in this competition also means she’s accrued enough points to qualify for the Boccia England Nationals League Finals which take place in July this year.
Penny says, “I had some tough matches but I dug deep, held on and pushed through. In my last match I was 3 nil down going into the 4th and final end, but I managed to get 4 points and take the bronze, so I am really chuffed.”
Nearly 90 players took part in the BE Cup, which was hosted in Crawley during the weekend of March 8-9th. In the BC4 category, Penny came third to Lois Sanders, gold; and Harry Thompson, silver. (pictured above)
