Creative Therapies Group
The SportsAble Creative Therapies Group has been given a boost by the skills and support of a new volunteer Art Teacher.
Tracey Worsfold, of Cookham, will be helping the group of beginner-to-intermediate artists and crafters every Wednesday morning from 9.30-11.30am.
Her plan is to work with each person with their own individual projects, rather than teach a group a certain task or skill each week.
“My aim is to offer support to each person and help them with whatever they choose to do,” she begins.
“For example, one person wants to make Christmas cards, another wants someone to go with her on a photography walk and another just needs advice and tips on how to draw with chalk.
“Whatever they choose to work on I am really pleased to be able to help and look forward to getting involved in different projects and opening the group up to more people.”
Tracey has a degree in illustration from Brighton University and is interested in Portraiture, Architecture, Life drawing, Printmaking and Mosaics.
“I love to use all different types of media and materials so even if you haven’t thought about art as a hobby before I am sure we can find something that you will enjoy doing that may really surprise you.
“ I am really excited to bring my experience and interests in all type of art to SportsAble, and hopefully, with everyone’s help, create a really interesting class.
Please come along for a cup of tea and biscuits, a chat and let’s get creative!”
