We are delighted to announce the introduction of Walking Netball as a permanent bi-weekly sports session. It follows the success of a taster session held earlier in January which received an overwhelmingly positive response.
The Walking Netball session runs from 4:30-5:30pm. After the session, people can stay behind to enjoy a cup of tea and coffee: we hope you can too.
The sessions are running every other week, so please our Facebook page @SportsAbleCharity to see the latest dates or call 01628 627690.
The feedback we have received has been overwhelmingly positive, here are just a few comments from participants:
“It was really fun.”
“Such good fun, thank you.”
“Fun and games, and a good laugh too!”
The session consists of a gentle warm-up, some skills and a friendly game. The sessions are completely inclusive and men are welcome too! We can adapt the sessions for anyone, so please give it a go!
It doesn’t matter if you can’t remember the rules because we teach them all again, you just need to grab your trainers and come down for some fun, friendship and an opportunity to get fit. You don’t need any equipment, just make sure you wear comfortable clothes and bring a bottle of water.
Walking Netball is free for SportsAble members. Non-members can choose to pay £5 per session or become a SportsAble member for £75 a year which reduces the cost of Walking Netball to £2.88 per session. Annual membership also provides access to all of the other sports we do for free. See the full activity schedule here
